The purpose of the job board is to help local talent and transplants to the Miami tech ecosystem find roles at South Florida’s startups & high-growth technology companies. This new initiative is an answer to high demand from local founders, tech companies, and talent across the nation looking for a role in Miami’s growing tech ecosystem.
The Shrimp Society Startup & Tech Job Board serves as the Official Job Board of Miami Hack Week, a federated hackathon happening in Miami from August 1st to August 8th, 2021. Miami Hack Week is bringing over 1500 engineers & technologists to Miami to experience the city and tech ecosystem. The goal of Miami Hack Week is to bring 5,000 engineers to Miami in the coming years.
The Shrimp Society Startup & Tech Job Board will be instrumental in helping retain these engineers at our local startups.
About the Job Board
The Shrimp Society Startup & Tech Job Board is a curation of over 100 startup & technology roles in South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County).
For the context of our job board, we consider startups to be companies under 200 employees with an emphasis on technology, venture-backed, and high-growth. Company stage spans from bootstrapped with revenue, pre-seed, seed, Series A, and later stage. This curation allows talent to choose roles based on different risk and exposure levels.
For example, you can find roles at Lula (Series A), QuickNode (Seed), Secberus (Seed), SwagUp (Growth), Bank Novo (Series A), Traba (Seed), OpenStore (Series A), Pipe (Growth), RapidPulse (Series A), Upstream (Seed) and plenty more.
We include all active positions across engineering, sales, marketing, strategy, operations, HR, and more. Positions range from co-founder to business development rep to VP of engineering and everything in between.
What makes this job board different? We don’t wait for companies to post here, instead, The Shrimp Society is doing the heavy lifting of scanning multiple sites to curate these roles for you. There are even some roles that are not “in-market” yet. To us, the earlier the stage, the better.
